Urban Birding: Parks Department Event

Join the City of Franklin - Parks Department this Saturday, November 15, from 8:30 to 10:30am as they explore Franklin's green spaces and discover the diverse bird species that rely on these areas for food and shelter at Eastern Flank Battlefield Park (1368 Eastern Flank Circle).

We'll be searching for winter resident species that typically nest in the northern United States and Canada but spend their winters in Tennessee. We hope to spot Kinglets, Sparrows, Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers, and more!

The guided hikes, led by Susan Bradfield, will cover a variety of terrains, but they are generally easy to moderate in difficulty. This event is appropriate for ages 12 and up.

To register or to learn more about this event, please call the Parks Office at 615-794-2103.
