Historic Workers’ Houses Restoration

In 2024, Friends of Franklin Parks initiated the process of restoring the Workers’ Houses at the Park at Harlinsdale Farm. These homes tell the untold stories of the farm workers whose daily labor built Harlinsdale’s legacy.

Restoring the houses will create new interpretive spaces where visitors can learn about the people who lived and worked here, complementing the Hayes House and Main Barn. The City’s master plan outlines potential future uses including park offices, event support space, visitor services, and educational programming. The plan also includes a potential caretaker residence, allowing someone to stay on site during equestrian events when appropriate. This fulfills a long envisioned goal that is finally coming to fruition.

We look forward to bringing these special homes back to life.
