Raise The Roofs

The 13th annual Friends of Franklin Parks’ Raise the Roofs event promises to be the best party of the summer! Join Friends of Franklin Parks for a Picnic in the Park celebrating 13 years! This event is a three-day celebration with a Sponsor’s Party, polo match & Raise the Roofs event! The International Twilight Polo Match will be at the Tractor Supply Co. Arena on August 16. Raise the Roofs will be held in the early evening on Saturday, August 17. All proceeds benefit Friends of Franklin Parks and our efforts to continually enhance and connect the public park and trail system.


Ellie G’s Dream World

Franklin’s first inclusive park will be named in memory of Elliot Grace Castro, known as Ellie G, who passed away at the age of 4 in September 2019. She was born with a very rare terminal form of dwarfism called Rhizomelic Chondrodysplasia Punctata (RCDP). During her short life, she proved to be an example of courage, strength, and joy to all who had the privilege to know her or know of her.

Ellie G’s Dreamworld will let children and adults of all abilities play together! This playground will feature inclusive swings, a music area, double zip line with inclusive seats, and bathrooms with built in changing tables able to accommodate larger children, teens, or adults and will be housed within the new Southeast Municipal Complex located on Carothers Parkway.


4th of July Fireworks Celebration at The Park at Harlinsdale Farm

Friends of Franklin Parks, in conjunction with the City of Franklin and City of Franklin Parks Department, will be hosting a Fourth of July Celebration (music, food, and kids games) at the Tractor Supply Co. Arena at the Park at Harlinsdale Farm. The Tractor Supply Co. Arena will be open to the public for prime fireworks viewing.

The event will be held on Thursday, July 4, 2024. The park will open at 5pm and the fireworks show will begin at approximately 9pm. Live music will be provided from 6pm- 9pm. Food trucks will be on site and the concession stand at the Tractor Supply Co. Arena will be open for beer and wine sales. Attendance is expected to range from 8,000 - 10,000 people.


The Park at Harlinsdale Farm

Support our ongoing projects at The Park at Harlinsdale Farm! We have multiple opportunities to have high visibility around the park (in The Tractor Supply Co. Arena, The Grounds, and The Historic Mare Barn) which had over 100,000 visitors in 2023.
