The Park at Harlinsdale Farm
A nationally known horse breeding facility established in the 1930s just north of downtown Franklin, Harlinsdale Farm was purchased by the city of Franklin in 2004, placed under a permanent conservation easement in 2007, and
opened to the public shortly thereafter. In 2015, the non-profit Friends of Franklin Parks broke ground on a multi-purpose equestrian arena designed to accommodate a range of events.
The new Tractor Supply Co. Arena at Harlinsdale now hosts professional arena polo matches and instruction, horse shows of all kinds, and other public events including the two-day Pilgrimage Festival that attracts top musical talent and thousands of fans.
Included in the Arena project was the addition of a public restroom and concessions facility, the restoration of the historic 23-stall mare barn, and infrastructure to accommodate national events.
