On February 24, 2018 at 9AM the City of Franklin will be participating in Tennessee Environmental Council's 250K Tree Day! The City will be planting 500 trees along the Harpeth River at Harlinsdale Farm. Trees planted in riparian buffer zones help to treat pollution in storm water runoff before it reaches rivers and streams, helps prevent banks from eroding, and creates habitat for wildlife. Anyone under 18 will need to have a parent sign a waiver for them to participate. Those waivers will be available when you arrive. Don't forget! This is an outdoor event in February! Check forecasts and dress appropriately for the weather. Click here to register.
